
First Harvest Credit Union Celebrates Milestone Anniversary with Over 85 Acts of Kindness
First Harvest Credit Union celebrates its 85 years of service by delivering over 85 Acts of Kindness to its 47,000+ members and by reinvesting in the Southern New Jersey community it proudly serves. First Harvest is committed to putting the “people helping people” credit union philosophy into action through various employee volunteer events, new member giveback programs, and by strengthening community partnerships.
Completed Acts of Kindness include:
- Expanding ATM access throughout Southern New Jersey within AtlantiCare healthcare facilities
- Reinvesting in partnering colleges and universities, including Atlantic Cape County Community College and Rowan College of South Jersey
- Appreciation efforts for healthcare Select Employer Groups (SEGs) and community partners
- Elevating and cleaning local green spaces in Camden County
- Connecting with high school students to teach budgeting skills, showcase career opportunities, and help support their path to higher education
Upcoming Acts of Kindness include:
- Expanding food access throughout the region through New Jersey Credit Unions Food Cooperative
- Supporting local families through hands-on projects with Habitat for Humanity
- First responder and teacher appreciation initiatives for SEGs and community partners
- Safe and secure disposal of private information with free Fall Shredder Event
- Breast cancer awareness programs and Pink Ribbon fundraiser benefitting the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper
- Uplifting local families and charitable organizations through ongoing Charitable Journey programs
