First Harvest Credit Union Hosts 3rd Annual Bring Your Child to Work Day at Deptford Campus
First Harvest Credit Union was proud to recently host the children of our employees during the 2026 Bring Your Child to Work Day held at the First Harvest Corporate Center in Deptford, New Jersey. A group of 20 children joined credit union employees for this year’s theme “The Future is @ Work,” with the goal of building confidence in future professions and to encouraging career exploration.
Throughout the day, credit union volunteers introduced children to the value of credit unions, how they operate, and the vital role they play in our nation’s financial system. The children enjoyed guided tours of various Corporate Center departments and a visit to the Deptford Branch location, offering a behind-the-scenes look at daily operations. First Harvest’s IT department also led an interactive session on online safety and security, teaching the children important tips for staying safe in the digital world. Additionally, the Deptford Township Police Department and Deptford Fire Department stopped by to speak with the children about their careers and how they serve the local community.

New addition to this year’s program included creating and performing their own commercials and skits highlighting why others should become members of First Harvest. The skits focused on key credit union themes, including the “people helping people” philosophy, quality saving solutions, and affordable borrowing options. The children also created personalized appreciation cards, which will be sent to deployed service members of the U.S. Military.

"We believe Bring Your Child to Work Day is more than just a break from school, but a meaningful opportunity to spark curiosity, shape young minds, and offer these children a glimpse into what their future careers could be,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “We’re grateful to our dedicated First Harvest employee volunteers and our local first responders for creating an exciting experience that was educational, inspiring, and fun for every child who attended!”
