Message from Our CEO: 85 Acts of Kindness and Givebacks
Dear Fellow Members,
I am hopeful you and your family are enjoying the sunshine and summertime season! Our team has been commemorating our 85th anniversary all year long through various member givebacks and community service initiatives. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we have made a commitment to deliver over 85 Acts of Kindness throughout the communities we proudly serve.
Since the start of the year, we have delivered over 40 of these acts, including revitalizing local parks and green spaces throughout Camden County, providing over 1,400 healthcare appreciation snack bags to local partners, and supporting our student members with financial reality fairs, career exploration, and scholarships to help alleviate the cost of higher education.
Our scholarship committee selected six 2025 First Harvest Scholarship recipients to continue investing in our student members and their future academic endeavors. We’ve awarded a total of $17,000 in scholarships to these students and additional academic programs within our region. We also continue to offer more affordable student loan financing through our partners at College Ave, who simplify the application process and education financing experience.
We are also expanding our banking services with a more visible and accessible Voorhees Branch opening later this summer. This new location will feature a full-service drive-thru to better serve the Camden County community. We plan to celebrate our hardworking educators with back-to-school appreciation snack bags this fall and will host a September Shredder Event at our Deptford branch to provide a safe and secure disposal of secure and private documents.
Additionally, we’re partnering with local credit unions to lead the second annual New Jersey Food Cooperative in the coming months to uplift our New Jersey neighbors and help feed students of all ages throughout the state.
Through June, First Harvest has provided over $35 million in new loans to our membership, and we’ve welcomed over 1,000 new members to our credit union family. We believe that credit unions exist to serve their members and communities by putting the “people helping people” credit union philosophy into action. As we continue to carry out this year’s celebrations, we remain focused on our members and their well-being and will continue to explore innovative financing solutions to empower each of our members’ next steps!
Thank you for your continued loyalty and trust in our credit union, and as always, thank you for choosing First Harvest!
Sincerely,

Mike Dinneen
