We’re continuing to empower our student members on their path to higher education with a chance to receive a $2,000 scholarship through our annual First Harvest Scholarship Program!

2026 Scholarship Program Submission Materials

All materials must be submitted prior to the April 30, 2026 deadline!

Completed online application including essay response

High school transcript with minimum 2.5 GPA

Completed Mentor Reference Form from eligible Mentor.

Eligibility Requirements

Our 2026 Scholarship eligibility requirements must be met by the application deadline:

Must be a First Harvest member in good standing by April 30, 2026 deadline.

Minimum 2.5 GPA, verified by a transcript issued within the last six months.

Graduating high school senior accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college, university, trade, technical, or business school.

Employees of First Harvest Credit Union, First Harvest Investment Solutions, Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and their immediate family members are not eligible

2026 Scholarship Essay

Applicants are required to upload a 500-700 response to the following essay prompt as a part of their online application process:

“How can you and other young adults utilize First Harvest Credit Union and other financial institutions to set yourself up for financial independence and success?”

Mentor Reference Form

After submitting your application, share the Mentor Reference link with your selected mentor so they can complete the required online form. Mentors play an important role in supporting your application, so please ensure they submit their reference promptly.

Eligible mentors include teachers, guidance counselors, employers, coaches, or community leaders.

Mentors must complete the online Mentor Reference form by April 30, 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

Applications will be accepted between January 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to receive a $2,000 scholarship.

If any portion is incomplete or not included, your application will not be considered. Submit all required materials online between January 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026:

  • The completed and signed application. A parent or guardian will be asked to sign off on the application should the student be under the age of 18.
  • High school transcript (If selected as a recipient, you will be asked to provide an official transcript upon graduation).
  • One Mentor Reference Form completed by one of the following: High school senior teacher, guidance counselor, current employer, current sports coach, or a school or community leader of a program or volunteer group of which you are actively part of.
  • An essay between 500 – 700 words in length answering the question below:
    How can you and other young adults utilize First Harvest Credit Union and other financial institutions to set yourself up for financial independence and success?
