First Harvest Credit Union Hosts 26 Students from Camden Future Bankers Camp 2026

First Harvest Credit Union hosted 26 students from the Camden School District’s Future Bankers & Financial Professionals Camp at the First Harvest Financial Innovation Lab at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ). These hands-on learning opportunities, hosted by various financial institutions, invite Southern New Jersey students to step outside the classroom to gain real-world experience and professional development skills as they prepare for futures in today's workforce or higher education.

The Future Bankers & Financial Professionals Camp aims to cultivate the talent of high-achieving minority high school juniors and seniors by providing them with opportunities to enhance their careers in financial services. The program helps instill college readiness and financial education through industry exposure. The Center for Financial Training International (CFT), the FDIC & Federal Reserve Bank, local community colleges, universities, school districts, and financial services institutions work together to provide students not only with entry-level training but also with guidance toward positive career aspirations through relevant workplace skills. The Camden School District and City of Camden are both within First Harvest Credit Union’s field of membership.

This year’s students gained exposure to many influential roles and functions within the credit union’s operations, learned about various programs offered by RCSJ, and received a personalized tour of the Gloucester County campus. First Harvest department leaders spoke about the impact their teams have on credit union performance and member experience and provided deeper insights into their own career paths.
