First Harvest Credit Union Makes Back-to-School Breakfast Deliveries to Partnering Schools for Teacher Appreciation

First Harvest Credit Union recently made breakfast deliveries to six Southern New Jersey schools to kick off the back-to-school season. These deliveries, along with additional community reinvestment and giveback programs, are part of the credit union’s 85 Acts of Kindness initiative, which is taking place throughout the year in celebration of its 85th anniversary.

First Harvest selected six partner schools within its field of membership to receive these deliveries during the month of September. First Harvest has more than 100 colleges and school districts within its field of membership. During its Back-to-School effort, more than 550 teachers and faculty members enjoyed a variety of breakfast items, coffee, and more, helping them stay energized for the first day of school, teacher in-service days, and back-to-school nights.

Benefitting schools include:
  • Cooper’s Poynt Family School – Camden, NJ
  • Glassboro High School – Glassboro, NJ
  • North Main Street School – Pleasantville, NJ
  • Pineland Learning Center – Vineland, NJ
  • The Larc Norcross School – Bellmawr, NJ
  • Woodlynne School – Oaklyn, NJ
To commemorate its 85th anniversary milestone, First Harvest has committed to delivering more than 85 Acts of Kindness to its 48,000+ members throughout the Southern New Jersey communities it proudly serves. To date, the team has completed over 60 acts of kindness, bringing the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” to life through employee volunteer events, new member giveback programs, and strengthened community partnerships.

Upcoming Acts of Kindness include the Pink Ribbon Program, supporting breast cancer awareness; the Adopt-A-Family Program, which brings holiday joy to local families; and First Responders Appreciation deliveries taking place this month.

“As we mark our anniversary this year, it’s essential that we celebrate not only with our dedicated staff, but also with the educational community and members who’ve helped us reach this incredible milestone. Our 85 Acts of Kindness initiative allows us to do just that,” stated First Harvest President & CEO, Mike Dinneen. “Our recent breakfast buffet deliveries are just a small token of appreciation for the passionate teachers and school staff members and their dedication to their students and communities. First Harvest’s mission has been aligned with our educational community for 85 years, and we are honored to support each school’s mission and the work they do to empower their students to achieve more!”
