Dear fellow members,

I hope this message finds you well as we enter Springtime. We often associate Spring with the idea of growth – here at First Harvest, we’ve been working diligently to ensure that you, your family, or your business have the right financial service tools to help you grow as well. 

Over the past quarter, we’ve launched our First Harvest Investment Solutions retirement and investment planning service, and many of you have taken advantage of our Growth Savings and other competitive Certificate and IRA products. In addition to these planning and savings tools, we continue to offer affordable loan products to help you consolidate debt, purchase a car, or complete home improvements.  And, as we promised during our recent conversion to Mastercard, our debit and credit cards will be available to use in Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay in April, 2024 giving you greater spending flexibility. This past quarter, we also welcomed new SEGs to our field of membership, Larc School and Care Right There LLC. 

Against the backdrop of proposed legislative reform around financial institution fees, we are proud that we have some of the lowest service fees in the region, notably our overdraft protection pricing structure. As a not-for-profit credit union, our proceeds are reinvested into member dividends and our community. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, we’ve paid out nearly $1 million in dividends to you, our member-owners. As for the community, we supported the Gloucester County NAACP, Habitat for Humanity, MLK Day events in Camden and Deptford, the City of Camden School Foundation, German Shepherd Rescue of New Jersey, and many other local organizations.
