Board of Directors Nomination Procedures

The First Harvest Credit Union Board of Directors is seeking applicants to be considered for nomination to serve on our volunteer Board of Directors.  There are two ways you can be considered for election to the Board of Directors at our Annual Meeting and Election, to be held on August 27, 2024:

  1. Any member 18 years or older who is an active member of the credit union in good standing, may apply for nomination by submitting the application found HERE to the Nominating Committee using the instructions in the application. All applications and candidate statement information are due to the Credit Union by May 24, 2024.  Please understand that the application process does not guarantee the applicant’s nomination. The Credit Union’s Nominating Committee will review all applications and may contact candidates for an interview before completing the nomination process. The final decision rests with the Nominating Committee.

  2. Nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition. An election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. Any member who wants to submit a nomination by petition must obtain a Petition Form and the Petition Rules that are available at the Credit Union office. When returned, the petition must be signed by one percent of the membership with a maximum of 500. As of March 31, 2024 the Credit Union had 45,949 members and therefore the Nomination Petition must be signed by at least 460 Credit Union members in good standing. Each Nominee by Petition shall also complete, sign and submit the application found HERE. All petitions must be returned to the Credit Union office by July 12, 2024.

At the Annual Meeting and Election on August 27, 2024 all persons nominated by either the Nominating Committee or by Petition shall be placed before the Members in attendance for a vote.
