First Harvest Credit Union 2021 Community Outreach

First Harvest Credit Union ("First Harvest") carried out various donations, grants, and volunteer projects throughout the Southern New Jersey region during the first half of the year.

  • First Harvest joined Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity to celebrate the dedication of the 48th Habitat home in Gloucester County on Cleveland Avenue in Glassboro, New Jersey. Volunteers from First Harvest’s leadership team also participated in Habitat's Women Build Week, which works to recruit, educate, and nurture women to build and advocate for safe and affordable houses in Gloucester County.
  • First Harvest donates $1,500 to the Burn Foundation to help provide support to enhance the quality of life of burn survivors and their families.
  • First Harvest presented a $10,000 grant to the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County. Through a partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, the grant will help the People for People Foundation offer monetary and advocacy assistance to individuals and families who are normally self-sufficient and may not qualify for assistance from governmental agencies or larger charities.
  • The 2021-2022 scholarship recipients have been selected. These graduating seniors excelled in the areas of academic achievement, written expression, extra-curricular activities, service to the community, and teacher recommendation. Congratulations to these outstanding students, and best of luck as you continue working toward your educational goals.
  • First Harvest presented a $10,000 grant to the Bullock Garden Project. Through a partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, the grant will help The Bullock Garden Project assist schools and other nonprofit organizations that serve young people to build gardens for academic, social-emotional, and environmental growth.
